A Little Recreation

Well, we all need some recreation or downtime from all the hard work we put in regardless of age. Yes, the little ones need some downtime/recreation also. So what can we do for them? Why not watch a movie. I love watching movies but they have to be age appropriate. So here are my choices.

My number 1 pick. Happy Feet. I love this movie, was awesome. Can watch it over and over.

I also love watching nature shows such as this one.

Start with the basics

Good morning. We all need help when it comes to teaching our children. I alway loved to go shopping and buying them things from the local stores that will assist me with teaching them numbers, abc's, colors and so forth. Here are my picks that I think might assist you and your child(ren).

Colorful, time-saving, and a snap to set up and store, these fun and engaging file folder games encourage independent learning. Just glue the brightly-colored game boards inside file folders, and students will have everything they need to play games that that help them learn and practice letter- and letter-sound recognition skills. Perfect for learning centers!

Unlock the door to reading success with these 25 easy-to-assemble, hands-on learning wheels that teach essential phonics skills! With just a turn of each adorable wheel, young learners practice and master a multitude of words—independently! Skills include long and short vowels, variant vowels, diphthongs, and consonant blends and digraphs. Includes a CD with ready-to-print versions of each of the 25 wheels in both full-color and black-line formats, as well as blank templates for creating customized wheels. A must-have teaching tool for all K-2 classrooms! For use with Grades K–2

A solid foundation of basic math skills is essential for early success in math. Children who can connect their understanding of math to the world around them, and build confidence through practice, will be ready for the challenges of mathematics as they advance to more complex topics. The activities in this workbook are designed to help your children catch up, keep up, and get ahead. Best of all, they’ll have lots of fun doing it!

I hope this information was helpful.
